The Marine Science Society brings together marine science topics and events in the NWV. The monthly meeting, the "NWW Ocean Chat", consists of a presentation by young marine researchers and is a platform for information, networking and planning joint activities. All interested parties are welcome to attend or actively participate, regardless of whether they are professionally involved in marine science or not.

• Monthly meeting every 1st Tuesday of the month at 7 pm for the "NWV Ocean Chat", in the clubhouse of the "Schwimmverein Bremen von 1910", Strandweg 102, D-28201 Bremen. 
• The Marine Science Society organizes the annual marine science conference "ICYMARE" (www.icymare.com). Also open to listeners of all ages!

The working group organises the annual ICYMARE (International Conference for Young MArine REsearchers) conference for young marine scientists. The ICYMARE conference series is organized by and for young marine scientists in different cities, so that they can gain first conference experience in a family-like but yet professional setting among scientists of equal standing. At the same time they can start to build up their own personal international network. Further information: www.icymare.com.

All NWV members are invited to participate in the ICYMARE conferences as presenters, listeners or supporters. NWV members pay the reduced participation fee.
